I camped at both Rothbury's.
It's car camping at its finest! Dont plan on any shade. You park and set up on a cut field of hay. If they have it setup like they did before.
Its pretty flat, so that isn't an issue.

I camped in GA and Maplewoods. Interesting in 2008 that because it was undersold we had lots of space in GA everything was kept clean and very orderly compared to say Bonnaroo. We were not piled on top of eachother. Clean, great weather, good amount of space and SAFE. I didnt hear of anything even getting lifted.
In 2009 I stayed in the Maplewoods in the woods. It was nice but I dont think they are using those woods again this year which is silly on their part. They were very strict on who could go into VIP camping so don't expect to bring even A friend form GA in for a few until you have "won over" a few gate guards.
In the sherwood forest itself no one camps it is a party spot of the venue.

I did GA camping both years. If you bring your own shade, it's no problems....you get a breeze and it cools off at night. Sherwood Forest is the heart of the festival grounds. From the sounds of it, this year there isn't even VIP camping in the woods.....of course a map would be helpfull clarifying all this, but they haven't posted one yet

I Maplewood VIP'd both years and it was amazing with the shade. You could sleep til mid-afternoon! I walked through GA both years and it seemed like folks had plenty of space. Year 1, my sister had enough room for her big tent, a pop-up and a little supply tent with no problems. I am also excited to see a map. My guess is that they're still establishing what space they'll need in order to set one up.

Both years were pretty much overcast till noon and then it burnt off to allow that beautiful sunshine to hit your face. Perfect sleeping weather. The nights did get pretty damn chilly though. Wasn't it like in the 40's in 09 at night (early morning)?

I'm really hoping I can get close to some trees, or at least one at VIP camping!
